There are the highest demands to turf quality of the golf greens. The careful management and continuous monitoring is necessary for turf maintenance in a proper condition. Turfgrass evaluation is a complex and difficult problem. Turfgrass quality is a relative term as it varies with the turfgrass species, with the time of year; an individual estimation has the certain purpose. There are the basic components of turfgrass quality, methods and principles of making evaluation process are described in the article.
